Noemi Nuti

Born and raised in New York from Italian descent, Noemi Nuti is a jazz and Latin singer, harpist and composer currently residing in London.

She studied classical harp at Brunel University and improvisation and composition at Trinity College of Music in 2009 with Anita Wardell, Nia Lynn, Pete Churchill, Simon Purcell, Liam Noble, Julian Siegel, Martin Speake and Barak Schmool, graduating with an MA in Jazz Performance in 2012.

In 2008 and 2009, she performed with the Clive Powell project “Jazz Alive” and, in 2010, appeared at the London Jazz Festival alongside Norma Winstone.

A former member of the London Vocal Project led by Pete Churchill and lead singer of British Samba Band Rhythms of the City, Noemi has performed at numerous London venues, including Ronnie Scott’s, The Crazy Coqs, the 606 Club and Islington Assembly Hall, and toured the UK as well as further afield in Brazil.

In 2015, she released her debut album Nice to Meet You on the new independent Ubuntu Music label, received wide critical acclaim and extensive airplay, including being A listed on Jazz FM.

She has toured in summer 2015 with her band including a headline show at Ipswich Jazz Festival's closing night and debuted her music in New York City in July 2015.

In 2017, she paid tribute to Milton Nascimento’s music at Pizza Express Jazz Club creating an all-Brazilian rhythm section and joining forces with pianist sensation Liam Noble and saxophonist Jean Toussaint (Art Blakey).

After touring her debut album, supporting Marcos Valle and headlining Ipswich Jazz Festival, she joined Andrew McCormack’s Graviton in 2018-2019, touring in the UK and internationally.

 She has released her second album Venus Eye in March 2020 to wide critical acclaim and has been selected for Serious’ Take Five artist development scheme.

In 2021 she signed under a new double management deal with Ubuntu Music and Ellora Management (Ahmad Jamal, Hiromi, Yoko Miwa) and is currently working on releasing her third album.

Nuti has performed in many important venues including, Ronnie Scott’s, Islington Assembly Hall, 606 Jazz Club in the UK and further afield in the U.S.A., Europe and Brazil. She is regular performer at the London Jazz Festival.
